Project Details
This project tackled a significant erosion problem caused by unmanaged water runoff around a drainage pipe on a multi-family property. Over time, the soil had washed away, leaving an exposed pipe and a messy, unstable area. We reinforced the drainage outlet with a sturdy riprap rock bed, designed to slow down water flow, prevent further erosion, and stabilize the surrounding landscape. The area is now secure, functional, and better equipped to handle runoff for the long term.
Challenge
This project presented a few key challenges. The erosion had already caused significant damage to the landscape, requiring careful planning to stabilize the area without causing further disruption
The exposed pipe and uneven terrain made accessing and reinforcing the site a bit tricky. Additionally, we needed to ensure the solution would effectively handle future runoff without creating new problems, all while maintaining a clean and professional look for the multi-family property.
Result
The drainage system is now stable, secure, and designed to prevent future erosion. Here’s what we achieved:
